Kite day~
i had real fun kite flying with sweets today. we had wanted to view the new mall @ kallang, tot we'd go ice skating, but the weather was too good to waste! so we decided to go marina bay to fly kites. the wind was just amazing, it was so windy and we had a ball of a time. our first kite though was accidentally let go, and it flew with the wind.... haha (: and he was so sweet to offer to buy me another since i got laughed at for letting go of the string... our kite flew way way up, and well lets just say that kite is history. its probably still floating up in the skies... it was simple fun, flying kites. but yet it meant so much to me that i could enjoy such trivial things. it made me smile so much to see him run half across the field trying his mightiest might to get the kite up and once that was done, i took over and tugged and let go. he simply watched me in complete adoration.
i loved every single thing about today. it was simple, fun and i enjoyed myself entirely. we even wanted to challenge this other couple by trying to fly higher then them, ended up we had a very hard time making the kite come down. and he was saying how willful the kite was, just like me. as we enjoyed snapping pics and watching the other families, couples and so called "kite experts" we laughed at all the stupid stuff. like that guy who screamed at us like we were idiots when we accidentally flew too close to him "hey hey dont snap my kite" ya rite what do u mean dont snap ur kite, ur kite was on the ground! the nerve of some people.... whoo! luckily sweets and i just laughed at him.
and we got our kites flying so high without making much effort. we used our common sense and followed the direction of the wind. DUH. sweets ran hard though, as i cheered him on! go fid go!
it was nice. and i wished the day would not end. (:
we have rufus to thank. yes we named our kite rufus, cos it had hamsters (or rats as what sweets called them) on it. (:
and not forgetting, we tugged the kite all across orchard rd after that, as we had dinner at ps. everyone kept looking at us like we were mad. but sweets was saying, if we dun care, then it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks. but i secretly enjoyed tugging the kite all over town. how many couples actually do that?
